My wife Marsha and I bought a house in Nevada City in June of 2008 .  During our first trip to Nevada County, we had met Teresa at an open-house in Morgan Ranch.  We found her to be very knowledgeable of local real estate, and very energetic.  During several trips back to town, she literally showed us a hundred houses before we found our house.  Her experience and keen observations kept us from making any serious errors during our home purchase.  A problem developed with the house after our purchase, which was unforeseeable.  Although it was not Teresa's responsibility to fix this problem, she continued to advise us and spent much unpaid time to accompany us to court. We first met Teresa outside her real estate office when she came out while we were looking at the posted listings.  We remembered her a few months later when we decided to work with an agent and we gave her a call. Teresa was very interested in what we each wanted in a property, which were in some ways contradictory. She showed us a number of properties and gave us the pro's and con's of the areas around Grass Valley. She always said how we would know our place when we saw it, but we didn't expect it to be the first place we saw.  With her assistance, after we considered all of the properties, we decided to make an offer - even though it was a short sale with 2 lenders. Teresa wrote the offer up in such a way that our offer had to be fully processed before other offers could be considered.  This proved to be critical, and we may not have been successful without that clause. In the end we got the property and couldn't be happier!  Teresa was observant and candid about the properties we viewed and was very up front and informative concerning the realities of the offer and purchase process. She was a great asset!
