Marijuana movie to show in Grass Valley

"La Vie en Verte: The WAMM Movie" - by western Nevada County filmmakers about a Santa Cruz medical marijuana cooperative - will have its Northern California premiere in Grass Valley.

On September 19th 2010, The Center for the Arts and ForAi Productions team up to present the Northern California Premier of "La Vie en Verte: The WAMM Movie," an award winning documentary by Nevada County filmmakers Charles Hall and Bevin Bell-Hall at The Center Stage in Grass Valley. Presenting sponsor, Grass Valley medical office CannaMetrix will host a free discussion panel on topics covered in the film such as medical marijuana and hospice care.

Nevada City's Constitution Day Parade features all the American Presidents

All 44 presidents in the history of the United States, from George Washington to Barack Obama, will gather in Nevada City to march together in the town's 44th annual Constitution Day Parade.
The parade starts at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, and continues down Broad Street through historic downtown Nevada City. The Marching Presidents are among more than 80 entries.
This is believed to be the singular time and place on the planet where all American presidents gather together, partisan politics aside, to celebrate the U.S. Constitution and American way of life.
Accompanied by their first ladies and cadres of trench-coated Secret Service agents, the Marching Presidents are citizens from all walks of life. They have been entertaining crowds at the Nevada City parade for 23 years. It is their only annual appearance, although they have received several requests to march in other parades.
